UMBERTO PALERMO UNVEILS THE ELEGANT SHOW-CAR “LUCREZIA”TO THE WORLD PREMIERE
Turin, 25 June 2014. Umberto Palermo, UP-Design’s president, as the
leading figure to the Turin automotive’s excellence, will entertain an
exclusive date. On June 25, next to the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile
“Avv. Giovanni Agnelli”, Palermo will show “Lucrezia”, a sportive sedan,
which emphasize its elegance and sportive soul through its flowing and
kinetic design. Width 1958mm, Length 5272 mm, Height 1419 mm, interaxis
distance 3181 mm, equipped with a 4200 V8 Turbo 510 CV engine; The car
interior’s concept is based on the decrease in weight giving an
aeronautical feeling.
The manufacturing of Lucrezia has been executed by Hexagon, and our
final purpose is to realize an exclusive and limited production series.
Pirelli, an Italian excellent brand, provided Lucrezia with tires
(295/22ZR22, NERO gt), while the whole braking systems and wheels for
high performance were supplied, respectively, by Brembo and Fondmetal.
During the Lucrezia’s show, Umberto Palermo will announce even a new
project, an innovative and sports car called Mole, which will be
presented on the next autumn at the Milan fair.
The glorious story of the Turin automotive will go on with Up-Design
and the newborn Officine Umberto Palermo, which will become the new
point of reference in the automotive and industrial design fields for
creativity and manufacturing.
Hotpoint Ariston, for which Up-Design designed the UP coffee machine
Hotpoint for Illy, will take part at the event. Hotpoint Ariston will
make the entire home built-in appliances range of Luce and a selection
of small appliances, HD LINE, available to realize an astonishing show
cooking.
Some of the last cars design excellence of the FIAT automobile group
will be exhibited at the scene location, kindly offered by the Mirafiori
Motor Village.
The Up-Design promotes a fundraiser for Operation Smile, a non-profit
international humanitarian presided in Italy from Santo Versacedi which
Umberto Palermo and his wife Lucrezia Roncone, have always been great
supporters.
The place of the date is on Wednesday 25 June, at 19.00, at Museo
Nazionale dell’Automobile di Torino (Corso Unità d’Italia 40) which,
thanks to the renovations conclusion, has devoted a whole section for
the history and evolution of the world’s car design, through a selection
of designer brand among which UP Design is proud to be part of it.
