Volvo has officially confirmed Polestar Racing's participation in the 2011 WTCC season with one Volvo C30 DRIVe. The special sporty-tweaked C30 DRIVe will be piloted by Robert Dahlgren, the freshly crowned Scandinavian Touring Car Champion.
However, Polestar shares that their main priority for the upcoming WTCC season 2011 is to evaluate the vehicle and to provide Volvo Cars with technical and commercial base to be able to finalize an official Volvo entry from 2012.
Christian Dahl, Managing Director for Polestar Racing stated: "We are very happy and proud for this vote of confidence. This will be a challenge for us but we have prepared for this for several years. Our organization is in place and we have already started with preparations."
Next month, Polestar Racing and their star pilot Dahlgren will enter the WTCC competition at Okayama in Japan, a soft start race for the 2011 WTCC season.
